Grant Awarded to the University of South Florida
The University of South Florida received an EDAC Enhancement Grant to create and maintain a website dedicate to Sickle Cell Trait. The website launched in May 2012. Visit USF's website at

Grant Awarded to The College of William and Mary
The College of William and Mary was awarded an EDAC Enhancement Grant to fund scholarships for ethnically diverse students to attend its annual sports medicine workshop. The scholarships allow students a chance to be exposed to the athletic training profession as a potential career choice while still in high school, with the eventual goal of recruiting more ethnically diverse athletic trainers to the profession.

Grant Awarded to Indianapolis Public Schools
Indiana Public School Grant Recipients
Shelby Howard, MEd, ATC, applied for and was awarded an EDAC Enhancement Grant to take 40 high school athletic training students to visit the Indiana State University athletic training program. The student athletic trainers from the Indianapolis Public Schools toured the facilities and learned about the athletic training profession.
