Above and Beyond Award Criteria

  • Must be BOC-certified
  • Minimum of 75% of current employment responsibility involved primary/direct coverage and care of collegiate athletes.
  • Employed as an athletic trainer in the collegiate setting as either the head or assistant athletic trainer, graduate assistant or intern athletic trainer position
  • Exceptional performance in athletic training or non-athletic training activities occurring within 1 year of the date of the award (Does not have to be health care related).
  • For example: Administering life-saving measures (CPR, AED, etc.) Developing a major program or initiative at school or workplace Service projects that have a lasting impact on the community
