Todd Hirsch has been the Certified Athletic Trainer at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights NJ, since 2007. Todd recently began working with the Secondary School Committee for the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey and is involved in the NATA's Vision Quest project.  Prior to his move to New Jersey, Todd spent 8 years at Clarkstown North High School in New City, NY.  During that time Todd was active with the New York State Athletic Trainers Association serving as President as well as working with their Secondary School committee.  Todd began his career as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst during which time he also interned with the Boston Red Sox organization.  A proud graduate of the University of Kansas, Todd resides in northern New Jersey with his wife Rachel and his two most important athletes, daughters Sabrina and Riley.   


For years the Athletic Training profession has been dealing with the issue of its members leaving the profession for other pursuits.  We have also seen the NATA begin initiatives geared towards the Young Professional.   This webinar is designed to help Certified Athletic Trainers understand some of the issues we face in establishing and continuing a long career in this profession.  The purpose of this webinar is to energize the Certified Athletic Trainer with ideas and strategies to assist them in remaining in the profession that they love and have worked so hard to establish themselves in. 

Clinical Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, the learner will be able to:

  • Gain an understanding of the issues Certified Athletic Trainers face to remain in the profession
  • Be able to undergo a self-assessment of professional needs and goals
  • Be able to create a plan to promote career longevity
